| French Twist is a unique bakery concept offering bread and pastries prepared using traditional methods. The owners were spending days every week in lost productivity trying to collate the sales information from the stores stand alone cash registers. They have invested in PixelPoint POS for the stores and PixelPoint HO Corporate Suite for their Head Office and have already seen the returns in time savings. A customised utility was written for French Twist that runs on the POS terminals using a touch screen interface, allowing the stores to place daily orders for Bread to one of the stores and Pastry orders to another store. The bread orders are then checked when they arrive each day - giving them an open stock figure. Linked via ODBC to the PixelPoint database to utlise the sales information of each product, the utility calculates what their wastage should be, however staff also spot check to allow for errors. This utility allows management to better forcast daily ordering requirements. |
